Ladakh, one of the most sought-after tourist places in India was in news owing to the seven-day vibrant Ladakh festival since last week. The celebrations of the annual festival concluded at the famous Leh Polo Ground here on Thursday, 26th September 2013. A huge crowd of people, including travelers from different part of the world gathered here for witnessing the end of Ladakh festival.
A lot of travelers come for Ladakh tour, but this year the festival was postponed for increasing the tourist season in the scenic Leh in Jammu and Kashmir. The annual festival started on September 20 with a march of local people clad in traditional attire beginning from main bazaar to the Polo Ground.
During this seven day festival, different kind of events including folk dances, polo match and “thanka” exhibition were conducted. It was also a delight for travelers who came for a Ladakh tour.
